Commercial Photography with an Industry Insider’s Edge

¡Hola and welcome!

I’m Victor Anton, a commercial photographer specialising in high-impact food, drink and product imagery. Based in Portsmouth and working with brands across the UK and internationally, I bring a distinct blend of technical precision and creative passion to every shoot.

My Story: Science, Food Industry, Retailers & The Camera

My path to commercial photography wasn’t traditional — and that is precisely what gives my clients a competitive edge in today’s visual market. I grew up in Spain, where I earned a degree in Veterinary Science. That background gave me a deep, technical understanding of food safety, raw ingredients, and quality control.

That scientific foundation naturally led me into the UK food and drink industry. Before picking up a camera professionally, I spent years working in high-level Quality Assurance, auditing, and product technologist roles across major European supply chains and UK retailers like Aldi and Asda.

Having worked behind the scenes of development and product launches, I realised something important: while strict compliance makes a product viable, exceptional visual presentation makes a product sell. Combining my technical understanding with my lifelong passion for cooking and my Mediterranean heritage, I turned my industry expertise into a commercial photography service built specifically for food and drink brands.

Why My Background Saves You Time & Money

Because I have sat in the corporate meetings, audited the factories, and managed product specs, I act as a creative consultant on set:

I Understand Product Launches: I know how pre-production samples behave, how packaging reads under studio lights and what legal cues need to face the camera.

I Know Food Science: From how proteins discolour under studio heat to how confectionery reacts to humidity, I shoot efficiently before product degradation happens.

Efficient Production & Smart Team Leading: My ability to handle technical QA, culinary presentation, and visual direction means small-to-midsize shoots stay lean and budget-friendly. And when larger productions require additional stylists or assistants, I know exactly how to guide them efficiently without wasting studio hours or budget.

Bilingual & Global Ready: Native in Spanish and fluent in English, I bridge cultural and communication gaps when working with international brands, creative agencies or European producers launching in the UK market.

My Visual Philosophy

My style is rooted in my Mediterranean background, defined by rich textures, authentic colours and intentional light. Whether you are a local artisan launching a product or a national retailer refreshing a brand, I translate your commercial vision into captivating visuals that reinforce your identity and resonate with your audience.

“These aren’t just images; they are timeless commercial assets. You’ll love them today, tomorrow and always!”
