Jackson Davies is a Portsmouth‑based punk poet whose spoken word blends sharp humour, heartfelt honesty, and a streak of righteous fury. Described as a punk poet (with the cynical self‑awareness of a middle‑class dad of three) Jackson draws influence from punk, UK hip hop, and Celtic folk storytelling. The result is a performance style that’s raw, honest, funny, and unmistakably his own.
Known on the South Coast scene for his playful but provocative style, his work jumps effortlessly from affectionate, self‑mocking reflections on marriage to full‑throttle political takedowns delivered with rap‑like rhythm and punk energy.
In 2025 he premiered his debut full‑length show, CHAOS, a performance praised for its wit, vulnerability and explosive delivery. The show formed the backbone of Same Coin, a spoken‑word double‑header with fellow poet Rich Lansley, performed at Southsea’s Hunter Gatherer and other venues.
That same year Jackson supported Luke Wright on the Portsmouth stop of his UK tour, bringing his high‑octane style to new audiences. He also returned to HolmesFest as a regular contributor and stretched into new territory by winning his first rap battle with Word of Mouth.
