Hello! I'm Julia Knyupa, a Ukrainian illustrator and visual facilitator based in Portsmouth.
I turn conversations, ideas and complex information into engaging visuals that people can see, understand and remember. My favourite place to work is at conferences, workshops, talks, educational events and team sessions, where I capture what is happening in real time through illustration, sketchnoting and graphic recording.
I love taking a room full of ideas and turning it into a visual story that people can genuinely connect with. I also work on digital illustration, visual reports, explainer videos and other visual communication projects, and I run creative workshops that help teams explore ideas and communicate more clearly and creatively. With a background in journalism, education, coaching and illustration, I bring both storytelling and facilitation to my work. I am particularly interested in projects around education, communities, social impact, culture and positive change.
Since moving to Portsmouth from Ukraine, I have been delighted to become part of the city's creative community and to collaborate with people and organisations doing inspiring work here.
