Deckadence is the creative identity of Portsmouth-based artist Bryn Roberts, bringing together illustration, street art, skate culture and popular culture to create bold, graphic work with a strong sense of nostalgia and humour.

Bold, irreverent and often nostalgic, his work takes inspiration from music, film, cult icons, vintage graphics and the things that probably shouldn't work together, but somehow do. Best known for turning original artwork into skateboard graphics, Deckadence treats the deck as a canvas rather than simply a piece of sporting equipment, alongside prints, clothing and one-off pieces. At its heart, the work is about creating art that doesn't take itself too seriously: distinctive, accessible and made to be seen, used, worn and occasionally smashed down a handrail.
