I'm a writing coach offering one-to-one coaching and workshops to support research-led writers put the joy back into their projects and love their writing life again. I work with non-fiction book writers, academics, journalists, students and anyone else who believes that truth is stranger than fiction and has a book (or article!) inside them just waiting to be written. I have 23 years experience as an academic and have published 62 articles, chapters and books in that time. I can support all stages of the research-led writing journey, from idea generation, through data gathering and research (partiularly using creative techniques), investigating publication opportunities and writing book proposals, to planning and establishing writing routines, providing accountabilty for getting the work done, right up to offering structural feedback and 'feel'back on drafts. Portsmouth born and bred, I live on Portsdown Hill overlooking the harbour.
